Audio and Video Production Facility
DDA set a new industry design standard in our work for Manhattan Transfer. Three cutting-edge video editing suites have the unthinkable: sunny street views through several large windows. Freestanding sculptural walls and glass panels define rooms but create a sense of lightness and freedom. Every variable was addressed to prevent light from reflecting off monitors. Monitors were placed at optimal positions within rooms. Room lighting and wall treatments were precisely adjusted. The result is a facility that is comfortable and open, yet adheres to the most rigorous standards for visual and acoustic integrity. With its emphasis on integrating technical precision and comfort, this facility now has editors wondering why they worked in dark, windowless bunkers for so many years.
